What are your hours?
Pastel staff is onsite Monday-Friday 9 AM – 3 PM. Part-Time, Full-Time, Dedicated Desk and Private Office members have 24/7 keyless access to the space.
Drop-In Day Pass users can use the space during staffed hours M-F from 9am-3pm and must schedule an appointment.
Should I visit before signing up?
You can sign up for membership at any time, however, as a security measure, it is company policy to have future members come in for a tour previous to confirming their membership. We would love for you to come in for a tour so that we can show you around Pastel's co-working space and answer any questions that you may have! Sign up for a tour!
Is there a registration fee?
No. There is no registration fee for any of our plans.
Do I have to attend orientation in order to get access to the space?
Attending First Day Orientation is required and you will be sent sign-up times upon membership confirmation. If provided times are available in your schedule, please call or email to schedule a time for a private orientation. It is recommended that you sign up for an orientation close to the date you have chosen to begin monthly billing. New members can visit our online member portal and review our house rules and member help desk for answers to questions in the meantime.
Can I use Pastel's mailing address for my business?
Mail and package handling is included for Part-Time, Full Time, Dedicated Desk and Private Office plans. Contact our Community Manager for set-up forms and instructions.
Can I change my plan later on?
Absolutely! You can upgrade your plan any time. You can downgrade your plan at the end of your current contract length.
What is the Cancelation Policy?
You must give a 30-DAY NOTICE OF CANCELATION to terminate your membership — meaning that you will be responsible for ONE FINAL PAYMENT to occur in the 1 month subsequent to submission of notice. You are liable for the full term of your membership Agreement as provided in the Purchase Summary, even if you cancel earlier. There is no discount for early termination and you will be charged for the full amount of your remaining term upon termination. In addition, you must reimburse us for all discounts that were provided as an incentive for a multi-month or multi-year term, plus any other costs we may incur as a result of your cancellation prior to your agreed upon term, as well as any costs of collection including reasonable attorney’s fees. You agree that we may charge your credit card or bill you for the foregoing fees and costs.
Are men allowed in the space?
(We get this question a lot.)
As a woman-owned business, Pastel understands the role that equity, support, empathy, and collaboration play in a successful career. Pastel is the first coworking space in Michigan designed for women — and all those who desire to work and gather in a space free from patriarchy. We do not discriminate by gender and both cis and non-cis people are welcome and included.
Is Pastel's building accessible?
Pastel is on the 2nd floor of an old building. Unfortunately our space is only accessible by a flight of stairs. Pastel is not wheelchair accessible, however there are accessible restroom facilities.
