Dr. Donna Mazzola is a health and wellness advocate, and has always had a passion for natural healing and preventative care. After obtaining a Doctorate in Pharmacy, this passion became an obsession as her learnings conflicted with her core beliefs. While she maintained what she thought was a healthy lifestyle, her world came to a crashing halt in 2015 when she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder. She couldn’t understand why she had developed an autoimmune disease. Donna embarked on a journey to gain knowledge in the field of Functional Medicine and Human Nutrition. Through this path, autoimmunegirl.com was born: a blog with a mission to identify the root cause of disease through health and wellness, and create the balance between nutrition and medicine!
